We have returned, full of fresh fruit, plus 33 heat, and of course celebrated the union of our very dear friends. Kelowna was a first for me, and it was amazing. The weather, the scenery and spending lots of time with family and friends (some who came from very far away!). We took in a number of different parts of BC, so rather than share them all tonight we are going to take the rest of the week, as I think I will have to break them into three days. The sights and sounds were amazing, and being able to experience really our second family vacation together was so very fun.
So for tonight we begin our journey at our first lunch stop - Golden BC. We managed to find a picnic table, a covered bridge for Anna to run across and a beautiful garden to have lunch beside. From here we travelled on into the mountains to Revelstoke where we stopped briefly for gas and made our way to Kelowna by 5pm. 620km is no easy trip through the mountains with a toddler, but she did it and between books, finger puppets, crayons, counting bridges and tunnels, tractors, a few of our favourite CD's, we managed without any problems. Thank goodness she is a good traveller. The three photo's just above show Cedar Creek winery - this is the site of the wedding ceremony during our rehearsal, breathtaking isn't it....more to come on that tomorrow.
