march break recap

Fresh hair cuts for all the guys - Stew took Sam for one day, while Anna and I hung out - we lunched at Miijidaa, Sam enjoyed his first fish and chips, I had a scotch egg, and the food was so good. We looked for books after at the Bookshelf. Anna recently finished her first Harry Potter book so she picked up a fun t-shirt.

We got to hang out with Andy and went hiking at Starkey Hill - it was snowy in sections and all the pond ice was still frozen so it made for some good sliding and stick poking.

The leprechauns came and got us this year! They took all the cushions off the couches and they managed to escape Sam's clear Costco croissant box trap there on the floor.

Spending time in a lecture room watching how pizza pockets are made during a video in the Food Science building during College Royal at the UofG

Stew cuddling with Sarah in the barns.

Checking out the cow with a hole in her one stomach...for research purposes!

Extracting DNA from a banana!

Sam on the mini tractors

Back at it today....Anna's spelling words were sent home this week, and Henry is excited as he gets to start and stop the timer now.

We had a good break - our sickness forced us to slow down at the beginning and we really felt rested by the end. Lots of family time is always a good thing.

march has us...

Checking out some parks on our bikes in spring jackets (but only when it's sunny, the wind and snow returned today)

Doing abit more skating, this time at City Hall. We miss our rink, but we know this one is also close by, and I skated on it for the first time and it is really good.

Afternoon baths on a Thursday because we've had a lot of sickness. We've had coughs, colds, and just this week a really bad flu - you know when the blog goes slight for awhile we have a lot on the go, and that's usually during times like these.

Anna and I cuddled up reading together on a Friday night.

Holding Sarah and watching her starting to hold her head up and flexing all those muscles.

Sleeping in after the time change, and it's a good thing we are now on March Break, as Sam would have been very late for school.

Cleaning up bedrooms and starting a transition of bed and room changes. The bunk beds are pulled apart and we are giving them a test drive on how they work side by side.
