spring has sprung
The weather is starting to get warmer, and boy, I did not expect Ontario spring to be this long coming. Apparently on our street, this winter has been long, one of the coldest some say in a very long time. Today marks the first day in the upper teens, with sun, a warm strong sun beaming down on us. We've been to the park a number of times, dug in the sand, and flew Sam's new kite. Henry now has three teeth, he's scooting on his bum in all directions, which has required all of us to watch him extra carefully. We saw lots of baby calves when we were at the farm for Easter, and even more cats, which Anna adopted one and named her Brown Eyes. I am eagerly waiting to see what my garden looks like, Anna's been learning about flowers, words that end in 'ng' like spring and our robin count is now at 17, spring, yeah, we are so glad to finally see you.

anna 5.5 years, henry almost 8 months
Luck has it, another set of pictures, this time of Anna and Henry. They were cuddling after school the other day and I thought, now is my chance - quick, get photo's before they grow up!
Anna has taught Henry how to clap, and he just started rolling over from back to front today. He also now has two teeth - one on the top, one on the bottom. Anna is 42lbs, she's got all her teeth, but is hearing that a few kids in her class have lost their first tooth. She's a size 12 shoe, and is now moving into 6X-7 and sometimes a size 8 clothing. Luckily for us, our neighbour Maria has a great closest, and is giving Anna most of her clothing when she's finished with it. Her hair is strawberry blonde, with really red pieces in the back, and lighter pieces underneath. Henry's hair is coming in a much darker red than Anna and Sam, it's more of an auburn colour, and at the back is almost dark brown. His skin colour is similar to Anna's, which means I need to load up on the sunscreen this summer, and check my stock for hats. Henry's favourite thing to do is watch Anna as she talks, when she uses her hands to describe something or tell a story, he laughs, and laughs. If she's in a room, and walks up to him, he gets ready to grab her hair and try and touch her face. He loves her hair, and she's lost a few fistfuls these past few weeks, he is strong and boy does it hurt!
