getting our groove

Yep, both at our fitness class today and on our walk (and maybe it's the plus 8 temps we are having, we love chinooks!) - I'm hoping this post doesn't jinx us

a good day

I got to experience my first Freestyle Skiing World Cup, did some work at my Dad's office, read some great books and made a yummy chili with my Mom. Not only that, tomorrow is my first fitness class so I will let you know how I do.

P.S - My Mom says to mention that the Zesty Pork Stew was not so good, we've moved on....going to attempt making a lasagna this week, that will be interesting.

starting to get excited...

Today on the front page of the paper my Dad is quoted for work and because he will be running with the Vancouver 2010 Olympic torch in a few short weeks. It is very exciting, as this is my first Olympics and I will be learning about all the different sports and athletes.

Thanks Dad for saving it for me when I woke up, Mom and I read it together. See you later!

love anna xoxo

the first gift

When Anna was born she received a wonderful book called 'The Twelve Gifts of Birth' - this book is amazing and I dug it out today as I knew we were going to need the first gift - Strength - May you remember to call upon it whenever you need it.

Well, we needed it - today was our 2 month vaccination at the clinic - 3 needles, she cried, I cried, but we did it and are okay.

slowing down

Well, we are going to be taking on a new project for the new year - just like Julia Child 'Mastered the Art of French Cooking', we are mastering the art of slow cooker cooking. Yes, the oven is still broken, but instead of getting bummed (and complaining about it yet one more time as Stew says) we (or I) have decided to tackle a new slow cooker receipe book and I'm determined to give it a good old fashioned try. Tonight we are having a zesty lemon pork stew with sweet potatoes. I will let you know how it turns out, as well as a few of the other dishes I have lined up. Hoping this will last us until...gulp, February.
